The Thought Power

James Allen is one of my all time favorite philosopher and mystic. “Just as a gardener cultivates his plot, keeping it free from weeds, and growing the flowers and fruits which he requires, so may a man tend the garden of his mind, weeding out all the wrong, useless and impure thoughts and cultivate towards perfection the flowers and fruits of right, useful and pure thoughts. By pursuing this process, a man sooner or later discovers that he is the master gardener of his soul, the director of his life.” ~ James Allen.
- It not only has spiritual essence attached to it, but also applies to our day to day life. To me, starting to have this awareness by itself is moving closer to better living. Once you fix your complete attention on the thing that you are seeking it will be amazing how your environment and people change. You start to encourage only those thoughts that are in harmony with it. The beauty is, nothing changed around you, but the way you started seeing things changed. A person who is seeking to buy a specific model car sees all kinds of flyers and advertisements. It might have been there for ages but never got his or her attention. That which you seek in turn seeks you. Here is where the definiteness comes into picture. If one is so sure of what they want and why they want (Purpose), then they start to come up with a vague road map to reach their Goal. In the beginning it looks very fogy and unsure, even the resources that is needed might not be visible. Just because it is not visible it doesn’t mean it doesn’t exist. The 2nd part of the SECRET – “BELIEVE” has all the answers for it. Hope we will pay closer attention to our thoughts from now on, while we move towards “BELIEVE”. More to follow ……
